Guernsey wildlife boat trips for puffins and seals
Two hours out from St Peter Port, looking for seals and puffins and whatever else is about along the coast.
2 hours£35 adult£20 child (12 and under)
What you might see
They're wild animals, so I can't promise any of them, but these are what people have seen with us.
- Puffins.
- About in spring and early summer. People have seen them with us from May to July.
- Grey seals.
- Out on the rocks, pups as well, and easiest to see at low tide.
- Bottlenose dolphins.
- Not every trip, but in May 2018 a pod of about ten came past off Herm.
- Razorbills and oystercatchers.
- Seen along with the puffins in June 2022.
- Gannets and shearwaters.
- We see these from the boat too.
On the trip
The boat's a stable catamaran with covered seating and an on-deck toilet, and there's tea and coffee. I know where the seals haul out, and I don't overfill the boat, so everyone gets a good look. I'll sort the start time with you when you book.
Off a cruise ship
It's two hours from St Peter Port Harbour. Ring me with your time ashore and I'll tell you if it fits.
Wheelchairs
Give me a ring before you book and we'll work out getting you aboard and the space on deck.
…We went at quite low tide, so we got to see some seals on the rocks, the babies seemed to be as interested in us as we did in them.
…extremely experienced at locating wildlife, particularly seals and today a pod of dolphins.
