Richard Seager, Guernsey fishing skipper since 2000
I owned boats and fished commercially for years before I started taking people out in 2000. Ring me on 07781 104356.
About me
I'm a keen angler, and round the Bailiwick I'm known for catching fish. I hold the Bailiwick boat record for brill, 13 lb 9 oz.
Out on the boat I'll show you what to do and tell you when to drop, and pass on any tips I can.
The Captain is really friendly and has some terrible jokes which you can't help but laugh at.
The skipper is a welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly guy, who will listen to your wishes…
Over the years
- 2000After years of owning boats and fishing commercially, I became a charter skipper.
- 2003I was running Out the Blue, an Interceptor 38, out of St Peter Port. Guildford Sea Angling Club came over and had 27 turbot in three days.
- 2008Roger Raedts from Belgium had a 12‑6‑2 thornback ray south-east of Sark, a Bailiwick record.
- 2017A new boat, a Cougar catamaran. Sea Angler wrote up a 21 lb pollack off a west-coast wreck.
- 2018Puffins, seals and about ten dolphins off Herm got us in the Guernsey Press.
- 2022New set-up for 2022, licensed for 8 passengers plus 2 crew.
What regulars say
…The knowledge this man has and the time he takes with people is a credit to him.
